Q: What s the youngest age that can play? (For September 2018 - June 2019 season)
A: Your child must turn 4 years old by December 31st of the year in which you are registering.  For example, if you are registering for our fall 2019 - spring 2020 season, you must turn four by December 31st 2019.

Q: How can I become a coach?
A: JCSA is always looking for coaches, if you are interested in becoming a coach, please contact us at rec@jcsa.club You must be at least 18 years old to apply.

Q: Can I join the association ? Are there any requirements? Are there any benefits? 
A: Yes, JCSA always welcomes new volunteer members. You must be at least 18 years old and willing to give some of your time to supporting a great program. Benefits include your ability to influence the organization and the effectiveness of your players league.  You also get the satisfaction of impacting your community in a positive way.  The level of commitment varies by position. Please go to the contact page if you are interested.

Q: How much does it cost? 
A: For residents and non-residents of Jersey City for 2017-2018 season:

Seasonal fee (Fall and Spring): $125 (Winter: $40 additional)

Payment is due at the time of registration.

Q: My players are only one year apart.  Can they be assigned to the same team? 
A: Yes, if both players are in the same division (Please see the age division section).  If not, they will play in different divisions.

Q: How can I (or my child) become a referee? 
A: JCSA requires all referees to be licensed. All referees must attend referee clinics at least once a year. Link to www.njrefs.com  for more information.

Q: Where and when are the matches played? 
A: Matches are played on Saturdays and Sundays.  Most matches are held at the Caven Point Sports Complex on the turf soccer field, 1 Chapel Avenue, Jersey City, NJ 07305.  Times vary according to division & team.  Some matches are played at Gateway field, 505 Grand street,  Jersey City, NJ 07302.

Q: Where and when are the practices conducted? 
A: Practices will be held during the week, in the evening. Most practices will be held at the Caven Point Sports Complex on the turf soccer field, 1 Chapel Avenue, Jersey City, NJ 07305.  Times vary according to division & team.  Some practices will be held at Gateway field, 505 Grand street,  Jersey City, NJ 07302.  Coaches may schedule additional practice sessions at other times, and they will coordinate that with you.

Q: Can I register online?

A: All players can register on line at this web site.  As an alternative, you can register in person at one of our scheduled registration sites.

Q: When does the season start?
A: Normally the season begins the Saturday after Labor Day.  The coach assigned to your player will contact you with more details.  Please check the website for announcements.


Q:  Do you host Summer Camps?
A:  Yes. We do.  Every year June through August we sponsor camps conducted by the NY Red Bulls, Challenger Sports and now JCSA is running its own camps.  Check the web site home page for navigation to the information and registration pages.
